T Bill 649 Posted September 17, 2014 Most any major manufacturer sells good plain jane stripped uppers. I have used Colts, RRA, PSA, Spikes, et al. I have even used blem PSAs without trouble. All forged ones are about the same. If looking for one see MidwestPX, Ty is a vendor here and sells tried and true parts at decent prices with fast shipping. T Bill 649 Posted September 17, 2014 Aero Precision already coated in your choice of 10 or so colors stripped $105.00.
Lalo 13 Posted September 18, 2014 What is a slickside? It means the upper doesn't have a cutout for a dust cover or a forward assist. What is blemish really? I will ceakoat ing as soon I get it Blemished means there is something cosmetically wrong with it. A little chip, uneven coating, etc but nothing that will affect function. n4p226r 105 Posted September 18, 2014 It means the upper doesn't have a cutout for a dust cover or a forward assist. Blemished means there is something cosmetically wrong with it. A little chip, uneven coating, etc but nothing that will affect function. it could also mean that there are deeper forging markings, which will still show with cerakote. if aero precision has the cerakote in the color you want, why not just get it from them? rightisright 3 Posted September 18, 2014 I have several blem uppers from BCM and PSA. Most you can't notice anything at all. On one there is a tiny scratch. Besides, if you are going to use the gun, who cares about a small blemish?
RUTGERS95 889 Posted September 18, 2014 I love blems, I paint anyway and it's a good way to near perfect (I've had zero blems on my blems) at a reduced cost
