OfcrFek 21 Posted September 22, 2014 I'm a very indecisive guy... I'm getting one of my handgun slides cerakoted digital woodland camo (or maybe regular woodland camo) by Backwoods. Now, question is do I wanna get my P226 9mm slide done or my TacOps 1911 slide (and grips to match) done? Wattaya all think? The 226 slide/barrel is actually blued. In this picture, it has my .22Lr conversion slide w/ stainless barrel on it.
JT Custom Guns 956 Posted September 22, 2014 That P226 looks like it could use a Face Lift. Lol
ECsandstar 28 Posted September 22, 2014 That is a tough choice. Whats cheaper to replace or get a spare for?
OfcrFek 21 Posted September 22, 2014 i already have a spare for 226... thats why i was planning on doing the 226 when i ordered. i may just do the 226 and if i really like how it turns out, I'll get the 1911 done too at a later date.

OfcrFek 21 Posted November 16, 2014 Well, this is what it will look like once I get it together. The extra layer of cerakote is making some stuff not fit together, and I can't figure out where to take a bit off. I'll take a look at it a lil closer later today. svt3183 14 Posted November 26, 2014 How much disassembly needs to be done to the slide to get it coated? Sights removed, etc?
OfcrFek 21 Posted November 26, 2014 if you're willing to pay an extra $15ish, you can send him the whole thing minus the barrel/guide rod. You wanna save that, disassemble everything except the sights.
Rob0115 1,105 Posted November 27, 2014 Where is he located? I tried calling and haven't heard back. There were a couple of great patterns I saw that I'd like to get done on some Glocks.
OfcrFek 21 Posted November 28, 2014 Manchester Twnshp. If you have Facebook, look him up on there. He answers PM's on there, and has weekly deals he advertises on there.
n4p226r 105 Posted December 9, 2014 For those getting glock or similar sides done, are you replacing the striker channel liner?
