colt LPK without trigger group

Recommended Posts

yea.  i dont have a lot of experience with Lower parts kits.  i have the colt lpk here in both of mine, but i bought the parts individually from specialized during the last scare when lower parts kits were impossible to find.  ive compared to a few others, most notable a palmetto state armory and the colt is 100x better (not suprisingly).  but compared to a midwest px and a cmmg kit, its not as much as a difference to the naked eye.  i do think the colt and LMT kits are slightly better than most that i've seen though

Why do you say they are better?

well the midwest px ones and cmmg ones are very nice.  the colt parts i had in hand had slightly better uniform finish on the small parts.  the springs are impossible to tell apart, but the detents are a little different.  the larger parts, the tooling marks are different on them so it's hard to describe without seeing in person.

as for the PSA parts, its not even close to how different they were.  the front pivot pin wouldnt even move.  i'll have to see if i can get another colt front pivot pin to show the difference.  the lower that the PSA pin was destined for was replaced with the last colt pivot pin i had.
