Zack 17 Posted September 24, 2014 Of course it does, as I placed an order yesterday If it was just yesterday maybe you can cancel it and then re-order. Or email them, they might work with you, their customer service is pretty good.
Howard 538 Posted September 24, 2014 Don't think so as it has already shipped and they explicitly state not valid on such. I'll live. I got $100 off that order as I sent in a box of brass for credit, so all is not lost. But I did just double down and ordered another 1,000 of 9mm 147grain new. 45Doll 5,842 Posted September 24, 2014 Thanx Zack! Order coming up. Howard: don't despair. Just keep enough in house so you can ride until the next shipping offer. And keep collecting that brass!

DargZ 5 Posted September 24, 2014 talk to me a bit about sending back the brass. how much did it cost to ship? how big a box did you use? Just ship it using the priority flat rate boxes. Depending on how much brass you have will determine your shipping cost.
Howard 538 Posted September 24, 2014 If you use a flat rate box the cost has nothing to do with how much brass, as it is not dependent upon weight. They were rather shocked at the post office at how heavy the box was. I used the medium size flat rate box, the one that is about 4" wide but long and deep. It cost $12.65 for me to ship 41 pounds of brass in it.

Sota 1,191 Posted September 25, 2014 true question is what the local metal recycling place will give me per pound of brass. would I get a better rate of return? need to find out.
Howard 538 Posted September 25, 2014 I heard it's about $1.00 a pound at the recycle yard
NYMetsFan86 9 Posted September 25, 2014 true question is what the local metal recycling place will give me per pound of brass. would I get a better rate of return? need to find out. I called my local yard when i started saving brass. They said $1.47 per pound.....I obviously went with freedom after that
Sota 1,191 Posted September 25, 2014 well, at least I know where I can dispose of the .22lr cases I have then I just noticed on the USPS site... there IS a weight limit for flat rate... it's 70#. edit: see my post #12 for why that might be important. 45Doll 5,842 Posted September 25, 2014 talk to me a bit about sending back the brass. how much did it cost to ship? how big a box did you use? I sent 50 pounds of brass back in a large flat rate shipping box which cost $17.45. At $2.50 / pound the brass credit was $125. Less $17.45 shipping netted a $107.55 credit against my order. Now you know why I'm a Brass Whore.
45Doll 5,842 Posted September 25, 2014 well, at least I know where I can dispose of the .22lr cases I have then You can't send back .22 LR. They only accept calibers that they reload. See their list.
Sota 1,191 Posted September 25, 2014 I meant my metal recycler place. I know FM doesn't take .22lr.
45Doll 5,842 Posted September 25, 2014 I meant my metal recycler place. I know FM doesn't take .22lr. My pardon. Then you're right; 'something' per pound is worth more than in the trash bin.

45Doll 5,842 Posted September 29, 2014 There must be a really good House Of Ill Repute (or diner?) in Hodgkins IL. The trans-con trucks never seem to get through there in less than 24 hours. My order arrived there Sunday 9:26 AM and hasn't left yet. Scheduled for Friday delivery.
