The "awesome" Izzy technique!

Recommended Posts

I still don't understand how they have a reputation they do for being the end-all of the tactical technique....

So if this is "Basic", what happens when the balloon goes up and shit gets all complicated and stuff? Like you have to move and shoot, or your target is moving?

Gross motor vs fine motor skills? Really?

So, I can pull the trigger, press the mag release and grab a magazine (all fine motor skills) without issue, but in order to draw the gun I have to use the Funky Chicken stance? Because it is a gross motor skill, and a regular draw is a fine motor skill? Oh, but fine motor skill is OK to slingshot your slide on a reload?

Wait.... Did he say don't use your sights? To "index" on the gun? Fuck me running...

And if you didn't know, always side step and take a knee when reloading....it is always best to hamper your own mobility in a gunfight. Also, always drop your mag out of the gun after one round following a reload - It's izzy-tactical!

At least they got away from that stupid condition 3 stuff (Even though he calls it condition two in the video - loaded chamber, hammer down. He would have a really bad day if he tried to go condition two on a Glock)

The only thing I'd like to learn from the Israelis is Krav Maga.

Just watching that video, I didn't like the way they present them selves. If I saw that IRL, they wouldn't have to shoot me...I'd die laughing.

I was thinking something similar. If somebody pulled that shit on me I would be dumbfounded and just stand there watching and trying to figure out WTF was going on. I'd probably forget it was a gun fight and get blasted!

There is a 4th Dan Black Belt in Krav Maga on this forum. He is the highest rated, non-Israeli Krav Maga practitioner in the US. He teaches in Manhattan.

Wow, that's different. Whatever works for them. Reminded me of this video...

Well, the first video was bad. Very, very bad.

But this...

I don't know how they got away with repeatedly sweeping complete strangers.

Sorry, not sweeping. Deliberately pointing AND pressing the trigger in the direction of people just walking by.

Hoe Lee Fok

That video should be titled "Turning SHOT show into a sh#t show."

Sometimes you have to wonder if this crap is something they actually teach to any Israeli organization or some random dude sells it is such.

It's almost as if we've reached peak tactical so now the overabundance of trainers on the market are trying new gimmicks to stand out from the crowd, everything from this nuttiness to the biggest beard going, the most tattoos on arms one can fit,  to Yeager's mad ramblings, its like a whole new breed of 3am TV evangelists competing who can smack a bible harder against the pulpit or who french kiss a poisonous snake the deepest.

Also, I'm in a foul mood so I'll leave these here to screw with HE's sanity

 why Vlad, WHY?!?!?!?! You are a bad person :p

I have seen all of those before. Don't get me started in the VIPERS or especially Sonny "Shoot your AI 3 times in the Shoothouse" Puzakis. Panteo severed ties with that no-talent assclown with a quickness after that.....

Reminds me of Robert Romano when he eats.

That's funny because it's true!!

Krav Maga is no joke and I would love to learn.

I bet he doesn't shoot like this though, 4th Dan KM or not.

Well, part of it is that I take that whole cruel and unusual thing seriously, and part of it is that I suspect he is actually trolling. I expect one day he will unglue his fake beard and say "Dude, you guys really bought that?" with a surfer accent.

I found out some background on Ins Zero not too long ago. Apparantly he did his minimum mandatory service in a GPF Italian Army unit and now runs a trattoria someplace in Italy.

You know, if he did ever come out and say he was fucking with everyone he would actually be my new hero.

it's too late/early for me to do research to refresh my memory :) but believe it or not , it does look like a technique the Israelis developed in 70s/80s ... I really don't remember the whole methodology and reasoning behind it but they were really into that ... I don't know the status of it atm ...

like HE said in the other thread >>> to each it's own... Israelis are good but it doesn't mean everything they do 100% correct/ perfect... for the threats they are facing it mite be thats what works best .. maybe terrorists are afraid of sudden random breakdance movements :)

Just joking :) respect to all who face the evil on the daily basis.

Personally, I'm impressed with the deployment of tactical knee pads as an integral piece of kit.

Plus, since they come in pairs, but you only use one, you can always have a spare in your load out.

You'd be surprised how important knee pads are. I was just at a class where people went to wally world directly after class to buy ANY pair of knee pads they could find. Thankfully I picked up a pair "just in case" a day prior to class.

I get where you're going though.
