Polak 3 Posted October 5, 2014 I'm thinking about buying the desert eagle as my next toy. It would be in 50AE. I have a permit burning a hole in my pocket. I don't care about ammo prices considering it's more a novelty. If you have one, I'd appreciate your input. Should I buy one? Pics are welcome

Polak 3 Posted October 5, 2014 Did you see my DE in .44 mag...........?????? It's beautiful, but wrong caliber. I need the 50AE. How much by the way?
nitrospaz9 10 Posted October 5, 2014 I love mine. It's just fun to shoot and it's a show stopper. Firing that thing brings other people around. I only ever load one bullet at a time. If you got the cash id say grab it. Lol. Everyone needs their own miniature cannon

nitrospaz9 10 Posted October 6, 2014 Mine was $1600 NEw. Wish I could of afforded the chrome one haha.
msokad 3 Posted October 9, 2014 I purchased one a few months ago. It's a beast of a gun. Only got to shoot it once due to work commitments, but I have to say it's a blast to shoot. The recoil is stout, but not as bad as my sw500. Buy it and enjoy.
The_Matrix 105 Posted October 9, 2014 My friend has one and I shot it a few times. He's got the chrome one. It sure looks intimidating. It kicks hard, but controllable. He got ammo from SGA and the price was not that bad.

nitrospaz9 10 Posted October 10, 2014 Nice! I recommend the Hogue grips for it. Never shot it without the grips but I have small hands so the extra rubber gave me some more to hang onto
BullzeyeNJ 104 Posted October 10, 2014 I have Not fired one but something I want to try out one day. One magazine would be enough to satisfy my curiosity.
nitrospaz9 10 Posted October 11, 2014 $14 a full mag lol
Polak 3 Posted October 11, 2014 $14 a full mag lol It's less than that but you wouldn't be shooting this gun as much as say a 9mm anyway. It's for the experience of it.
maintenanceguy 509 Posted October 11, 2014 Shot onoe only once. Recoil was less than I had expected but still considerable. I was mostly impressed by the cartoonishly largeness of the gun itself. I couldn't reach the safety with my thumb and had to use the other hand. It was a fun gun to shoot. Difficult to ccw - a little bulky and my pants would fall down. BullzeyeNJ 104 Posted October 11, 2014 Woodland park has one in the rental fleet Yeah, I know. I think its $50 to rent it and you get 10 rounds. To me, thats ridiculously expensive to fire 10 rounds. I would rather meetup with someone at the range that has one and buy a box of Hornady ammo for $25 for 20 rounds. I shoot 10 rounds and then give them 10 rounds as a thank you. PD2K 115 Posted October 11, 2014 I've shot my friend's DE. It's very accurate and surprisingly easy to shoot once you get over the initial "boom."
nitrospaz9 10 Posted October 11, 2014 Where do u find boxes of ammo for $25?
Polak 3 Posted October 12, 2014 I just bought 200 rounds of Hornady 300gr for $169 shipped. That's 84.5 cents per round. I scored big time.
