New P2Ps- Bigger isn't always better

I went to pick up my permission slips today and was handed these:

 

 

They're easily twice as big as before, bigger than a standard 8 1/2 x 11 sheet.

I wouldn't accept that one with all the black smudges on it. And what, they give you a rebate too?

Yeah, I was pissed about the smudges too.

 

But the nice lady at my PD said:

 

"The smudges are a courtesy, in case you want to post a picture of it on NJGF, but don't want to publicize your SBI, where you work, etc.

Also, here's a dollar you can use to show the relative size of the permit."

yes they are god awful huge. but if they keep the processing times to a minimum, they can hand me a 6 foot banner for all i care

They are slightly too large when they still have the perforated edge on the sides..  after being used, those edges come off and they fit perfectly in a folder.

These new permits are on 4 part carbonless (NCR) paper with pinfeed margins, perfectly suited for all the 1990 dot-matrix printers still in operation.

The older ones that were replaced were perfectly suited for now-out-of-vogue typewriters.

 

I wonder when NJ will move into the 21st Century with its draconian paperwork?

my last set were hand written, for the exact reason that the typewriter took a shit and they can't find a replacement.

The NJSP is giving out a template to the PD's so they can print these on a word processor, and we thought change would never come to the archaic PPP system.............
