njJoniGuy 2,131 Posted October 24, 2014 Many of my fellow High Power competitors use them. Quite a few have been done by High Master John Scandale of Keystone Accuracy in Blue Bell PA. http://www.keystoneaccuracy.com/ The reason many use side chargers on their match rifles is the lack of access to the standard charging handle due to match-type stocks. Old School 611 Posted October 24, 2014 I've looked at side chargers. I'm really undecided. Things that bother me... Less bearing area on the BCG, increased wear. Non-standard parts. Yep I understand how AR's work and lock up. But just don't know.
RUTGERS95 890 Posted October 24, 2014 I have a LarsOPs and absolutely love it. I would recommend one if you can find them. I believe after Remington Arms bought them they started under a new name but unsure of it. I like it so much, I'm doing a 308 build with a side charger
