Many of my fellow High Power competitors use them.

Quite a few have been done by High Master John Scandale of Keystone Accuracy in Blue Bell PA.

The reason many use side chargers on their match rifles is the lack of access to the standard charging handle due to match-type stocks.

I've looked at side chargers.  I'm really undecided. 

Things that bother me... Less bearing area on the BCG, increased wear.

Non-standard parts.

 

Yep I understand how AR's work and lock up.  But just don't know.

I have a LarsOPs and absolutely love it.  I would recommend one if you can find them.  I believe after Remington Arms bought them they started under a new name but unsure of it.
