What barrel coating do you prefer and why?

So I'm a fan of nitrided barrels, but had an epiphany that I don't really know a lot about different offerings. So what do you use? Has it worked out well for you? Why do you prefer it?

Parkerized with chrome lined bore. Works well, looks good, and no fuss.

I really don't care what finish is on there. As long as it doesn't rust and shoots straight I am good.

Chrome-lined and parkerized has never failed me. Nitriding is growing on me though. For machine gun use, cheap nitride barrels resist throat erosion better than cheap chrome lined ones which is a plus for when I get into machine gun rentals. My open bolt AR project will be using a nitrided bull barrel.
