Stripped flat top upper without M4 cuts

I'm looking to do a budget rework of an A2 into a flat top. The barrel does not have the M4 cuts and I need a receiver to match so there will be no lip for rounds to get hung up on. I can't seem to locate a low priced, or even high priced, stripped upper without cuts. I really don't want to start grinding on the barrel extension if I don't have to. Any leads would be most appreciated.

JSE Surplus had some last week for like $30. There was a thread on National Match about it. Not sure if they still have any.

Maybe trade it to someone or sell it and get what you want. This has bad idea all over it. Not saying it can't be done but it seems like a lot of work to save a small amount of money.

jse has them for 30 and they are bushmasters.  I am ordering 1 now...who wants to get in on it in monmouth area?

Thanks for the JSE and Aero referrals. The Bushmaster at JSE appears to be a clear coat, not what I had in mind. As far as being a bad idea, that depends upon the frame of reference. In this case it is the only option for a number of reasons. I have all the requisite tools and have done several uppers from scratch. It's not all that difficult, but experience does play a big role. Thanks for the caution, however. So far it looks like Aero will be the choice and all (?) I need to do is find it at a good price. Again, thanks to all.

I have a regular aero upper and it's good quality. I don't think you can go wrong with one of them

No name on it. It came from M&A Parts about 20 years ago.
