Problems starting with Surefire M951...

Recommended Posts

I bought a Surefire M951 (old gen, nonLED) from a friend who served overseas. I've had it mounted to my AR for probably 2 years now with no problems, but in the last rifle class I took, it started blinking out during a period of sustained fire. Since then, any bump, nudge, recoil causes it to blink out momentarily. Sometimes it goes out for seconds at a time. The buddy I bought it from said it might be the tail cap going. I think he may be right, as I took it apart as much as I dared, and everything looks clean and connected. Anyone able to give me a second opinion?

How long does it usually take them to get back to you? I emailed and used the warranty ticket thing, and never even received a confirmation on it or a message back... usually, you get those instant "your case will be reviewed as soon as blah blah blah" but i didn't even received one of those.

There's this amazing technology that allows u to TALK instantly to another person. I know human interaction is anathema to this generation but actually picking up the phone can often get u results like nothing else.

that is presuming that you get a live person. this generally involves anywhere from 1 to 21 different menus. of course then you still need to press 1 for english.
