AlDente67 563 Posted November 10, 2014 Shooting at Dix over the weekend. A party in the next station had a wide array of heavy equipment, including the Barret. I think he said it was a 991. I asked if I could take one shot, as I'll never be able to afford my own, let alone the ammo for practice. He was great. Let each of us take turn. He had the 30x scope dialed in for 200 yards, but we shot at our 50 yard target. All three of us hit the bulls-eye dead center, as opposed to my AR hitting low all over the place. It's like a fog of confusion for a few seconds after pulling the trigger on that thing. And then surprised to see that you actually hit where you aimed. All in all, a great way to end the day, and a mighty thanks to the soldier who let us play a bit. I regret not getting his name, but I made sure to stuff some money in his BDU to cover the ammo. vjf915 456 Posted November 19, 2014 Fun stuff. It sounds like a nice opportunity, however it's unfortunate that you didn't get to push the distance. Regardless, I'm jealous.
