Have To Go To NY To Get NY Hunting License?

Planning on going hunting in NY.  Is it possible to get a license locally in NJ or do I have to physically go to NY to obtain one?

they take 10-14days to receive, if you buy online. I believe OP is going this week.

Yes. Online is a bit different.

 

The good thing about New York is the license you buy this year (after Feb. 1st) is that its cost is reduced from last year, and like in the past, is good for the 2014-2015 hunting season, valid from September 1st  2014 through August 31st, 2015. (In previous years the license validation dates were from October 1st through September 30th.)

Dropped the kids off at school and shot up 287 to 84 to 17.  Quick stop at Davis Sporting Good and I'm now good to go!
