.44 Mag Carbine

Recommended Posts

I killed a hog in Florida with a Marlin 44 mag lever gun. it was a nice, soft shooting, accurate at close range rifle. I nailed the hog in the brain from 40 yards away and it dropped so quick it still had corn that it was eating stuck to its tong.

I've owned a Henry Big Boy in .44 Magnum for YEARS.  Nice brush gun.  Soft enough for the wife to shoot.  Shoots .44 Spls too.

Went on a Hog Hunt with a friend that used his Ruger .44 Mag semi-auto carbine to great effect.

I have extensive experience with .44 Magnums and have owned them since 1980, so what can I help you with son?

I would love to find a reasonably priced ruger 99/44. Its the semi auto version of the bolt 77/44. They also have a 77/357 bolt gun too

If you are open to a bolt gun then the model 77 is a good choice. I spoke with Ruger and the 44 magnum will also handle the 44 special and the 357 magnum will handle 38 special. I thought that was a great design feature for either rifle.

Who is John Galt?

I am so excited I figured out how to change my signature.
