Bully 749 Posted December 3, 2014 Wait till you see the price of good arrows. Lol good luck! I'm going to head to Targeteers on sunday, hopefully. I realize that nothing that I do is cheap. The arrows are at least re-usable. DeerSlayer, I may take you up on that. Give me thru the holidays and I'll drop you a line. C
Old School 611 Posted December 3, 2014 Sooooooooooooooooooo... Anyone got any suggestions on what to look for in a bow? I read the huntersfriend.com buyers guide. Very informative. I'm still a bit lost. I think I want a bow in the 400 dollar range(bare bow). Less would be great. If I get further into it, that's all well and good. If not, not a great loss. Oh Lord, why am I cursed with so many expensive interests!?!?!?!? C $400 bare bow, you are are in the ballpark. Though I'd suggest buying a package. Cost of "hunter grade" arrows? Beeman ICS 50-60 a 1/2 dozen with field points. A little less by the dozen. Buy a dozen, save half, shoot half and save balance for replacement. Old School 611 Posted December 3, 2014 Thanks Bud. C Now that's twin cam and 75% let off so a little more weight to hold back and a little more shock when you release. Because I'm weak and have shitty upper body I shoot a single EZ cam. But you're a young buck. BTW my bow is set at 62# with 80% let off.
