alec.mc 180 Posted December 10, 2014 Thanks for the tip. But add the conversion cost + the cost of a S&W and you probably have an $1100-$1200 gun. Plus it would not be a true convertible, correct? i think the conversion will cost you around 300 bucks. What do you mean by " true convertible " ? BlueLineFish 615 Posted December 10, 2014 Kentucky gun co had the 929 for less than a 1000 the other day. I just missed out on it
Newtonian 453 Posted December 10, 2014 i think the conversion will cost you around 300 bucks. What do you mean by " true convertible " ? I mean something that allows you to switch out the cylinder, back and forth. One gun, two calibers.

Not unless you buy an extra 627 cylinder, so you'll have two. Keep your factory 38/357 with the gun the extra cylinder send out to convert to 9mm, and then you'll need to have a gunsmith time the new cylinder to the gun. IMO , all this - not really worth it. your going to be spending big bucks, for no good reason.

Newtonian 453 Posted December 12, 2014 If you want to do that, you're better off buying a Ruger Blackhawk Convertible Ehhh. Given my time and financial limits cowboy guns don't interest me that much. Plus single-action only. Ehhh. Thanks for the suggestion though.
