Old School 611 Posted November 30, 2014 I'm a little confused on the cal. i want one for 223/556 do i get the .22-26 cal rod ? I don't know if it matters. I use a 22cal rod for everything (up to 30 cal). No perceptible flex. But I always use a bore guide.

dutch ak guy 0 Posted May 30, 2015 Just ordered a 36" Tipton carbon fiber rod. Should be long enough for good reach and if the rod touches any sensitive areas (crown, rifling etc) the carbon fiber will not do any damage. I did do a lot of research, but the Tipton rod connected with me the most.
