Arctic Blast IDPA sanctioned match

Recommended Posts

From Jerry Greg, Match Director:

Hello Fellow Shooters,

Can you believe it? January 2015 will be here in less than 32 days. And that means that the 2015 Arctic Blast is back again. Here is the who, what, when, where, and how for the 2015 Arctic Blast.

The match is open to all classified current IDPA members. You must have a current classification for your division and class. That means you have to have shot a classifier after January 15, 2014. Please make sure you're classified and it is on the IDPA web site. Saves us a lot of time if we don't have to chase you down to get your classification info correct.

The Arctic Blast is a 12 stage (maybe more or maybe less depending on range conditions) and it will have an estimated round count of 120. Remember to bring a few more just to be on the safe side.

The Arctic Blast will have 3 Shooting Sessions. Friday, Saturday Morning, and Saturday Afternoon. The staff will shoot on Friday but the Friday's Session is open to any shooter who wishes to shoot on Friday instead of Saturday. There is a limit of 8 shooters per squad and there will be 5 squads per session.

It will be held on January 16th and 17th at the Wilkes-Barre Rifle and Pistol Club in Hunlock Creek, PA. The Wilkes-Barre Rifle and Pistol Club web site is http://www.wbrp.net/ and directions to the range can be found there.

The match fee is $75.00. It is payable by check to Wilkes-Barre Rifle and Pistol Club. The match fee must accompany the registration form.

Squads? Yep, there will be squads. If you and your buddies want to shoot together on one of those squads then all the registration forms for your squad must be sent in one packet. The match fee for all the shooters on the squad must be included in the packet.

Email Addresses: Each shooter must have an email address. All information about the Arctic Blast will be sent via email. Please be sure that the one you put on the registration form is current and that you check it regularly. Shooting Times, Range Conditions, and other information will be sent before the match to your email address on your registration form.

The registration form can be found on this WBRP web page starting on December 1st.

http://www.wbrp.net/IDPA.html

The completed registration form along with the match fee should be mailed to:

5018 Nuangola Road

The registration closes on January 3rd 2015 so don't sit on your hands. Give yourself a treat in the bleak month of January and come and shoot the 2015 Arctic Blast.

Regards,

Jerry Greg

    • In 50 years of living in NJ I've never experienced any attempt to inspect the interior of the home, and only one definite inspection of the exterior for an announced reassessment of all properties and that was a drive by. About 9 years of that was living in an apartment, but still, uncommon. Every place I lived had either a finished attic, basement, or both. But they were also included in the habitable square footage on the taxes when we got there.
    • 27.00 and change in tolls to drive down the shore from Rutherford,  47.00 in tolls to go out to Long island to visit dying relatives. Now I read they are going to raise the fees in the DMV. Murphy lied just to get elected when he said that seniors will get a significant tax break with his StayNJ" program to stop us from leaving.   Keep voting for democrats...this is what you get.  Tax and spend is all they know.  Never cut anything.  This state sucks.
    • I get the added benefit that since I have a TSP rather than a true 401(k) they tax my retirement too. Yaaaay!
