Crimped Mags, What say you?

Recommended Posts

These magazines are commonly called "lanced".

They've been in use in this state for many years.

20rd bodied lanced 15rd mags are available from Midway for about the same price.

Why have a 30rd body in a 15rd mag, it only gets in your way.

Unless of course you are a Mall Ninja.

I have 4x C-Products mags that are "crimped" or "lanced" as well...

Why have a 30 round body?  Because they fit in mag pouches better.

I don't like wearing a vest with pouches and shit, I feel like it just gets in my way.  I put all of my mags on my belt, therefore this advantage is lost to me. 15/20's are pretty much the best thing for me.  This way they don't get in the way if I go prone or shoot from a bench.

Whatever works for you homie.

Regardless if I'm using a vest or battle belt or just pouches on my CR Speed belt, all of my mag pouches are meant for 30 rounders.  20 rounders (even with ranger plates) will get lost inside the pouch and I have to hunt for them to get them out.  I prefer 30 rounders as they're easier to grab and get in/out of my gear.

i like the 30 round bodies because they're easier to grab, regardless of where you put them. i put mine in the thigh pockets of my pants. easily grabbed there.

i also don't like my gun to look like it's had its "stuff" cut off. :)

I have to call BS on the ATF approved. Sounds good, but why would the ATF weigh in when there are no Federal restrictions on mag capacity - unless they issued something during the 1994 - 2004 AWB.

That's my guess Bob.

But I've seen loads of these mags in Jersey.

Antis don't know the difference between an assault weapon and a semi let alone a mag and a clip. So, lets just identify this as a clip sized cleaning tool. :D

To the contrary.  I've been using them for years and they're fine.

I had a total of 10 The C-Products actually are still good, The 6 labeled AR-Stoner that I purchased from midway have all failed.  The P-Mags are all fine,Ill know more about the HEX's in January or February when I go to class.. So C-Products good! AR-Stoner from midway bad. edited the post above to reflect that.
