Does anyone make those "Red Star" carnival-type targets?

Recommended Posts

Long story short, at the range the girlfriend and I have taken to try to shoot out the red center of targets with my 10/22.

I'd like to track down some of those Red Star carnival type targets where you get a prize if there is no red left.

The only ones I can find are the legitimate carnival surplus ones that are 5" x 6.5". I'd like to find a bigger version.

Anyone heard of this?

These are the only ones I've found... but I may buy them and blow them up to a slightly larger size to use at 15-25 yards instead of the 4-5 yards they were designed for.

The above files are sized for 8.5x11" paper with 4 different sized red stars on each.  The file named large has 2.5", 2.0", 1.5", and 1.0" wide stars.  The file named small has 1.5", 1.25", 1.0", and .75" wide stars.  They are made so that the printer will not cut off edges if printed actual size (though the printer may say it will not fit the paper size selected, you can ignore that), and then just cut the paper into quarters.

I use very heavy 32lb premium paper when I print my targets so they last with multiple close/touching shots (not that *I* have that to worry about...).  If you use lightweight, thin paper, you'll probably rip/tear up the targets quicker and the games may be over faster.  I seem to remember the carnival targets being pretty flimsy paper.

I've taken to using the sticker paper designed for shipping labels, basically a 8.5x11 giant back peel sticker. That way i can stick small or large target dots to anything I want, heavier cardboard included.

I was just going to suggest this. I do this as well and works great!

No problem, hope they work out for you.  If you decide you want a specific size, 4x or even 6x on a sheet, let me know.  Now that I have them made up, should only take a minute to redo.

I'm going to post a thread with targets I've both found as well as a bunch I've made here:
