Gunsmith in Sussex County / Sporterized Mauser K98

Hello All,

 

I have a 60s era sporterized Mauser K98 that I'd like a gunsmith to look over. Basically want to know if the gun is safe to shoot and is still the original caliber.

 

Does anyone know someone I could take this to in Sussex, Warren or Morris County?

His wife answered the phone last time I called him. Didn't want to just show up at his house. She told me he wasn't taking on any new work. I'm sure if I had gotten him on the phone he would take a gun from me for whatever. My grandfather and father had been his customers for decades, I met him as a kid going there with grandpa, he cut down the stock on my first 12g for me. Love his work. He would always bust my balls for liking all the tacticool guns lol, (typical old man stuff).
