thoughts on Definitive Arms AK103U

Recommended Posts

OK guys, since my PSL idea was just ditched, ,any thoughts on this AK?  Any feedback from Definitive Arms?  I was looking at this over the Krebs Custom 103K-S.  Since the Krebs AK103k-S is a side folder, I cant seem to find one in the fixed stock. Im not really looking to pin a side folder.

Its mentioned that Def Arms is in the same league as Krebs or Rifle Dynamics, but I dont seem to recall their name recognition. Anyone have experience with their rifles or quality of their builds?   The videos attached from Atlantic Firearms seem like a copy of work done by Krebs.

I don't think that would be all that hard to do. Get whatever rifle floats your boat, cut the barrel, thread the barrel (I have a thread cutter if needed), have the barrel re crowned, slide the front sight all the way back and with a vise and drill press you can make the grooves for the pins. I think it could all be done pretty easily and quickly. The only part I would farm out is the recrowning of the barrel.

The brake screws onto the fsb and since you are cutting the barrel I assume it will end up to be less than 16 inches. So in order to comply with NFA you would need to weld the fsb to the barrel and pin and weld the brake to the fsb..
