usnmars 136 Posted January 14, 2015 I went by a local shop today and this was sitting neglected in the corner. Its a 1918 production WWI 1897 Winchester Trench Gun that has had the heat shield removed. So I went to Sarco and picked up a reproduction until an original pops up. Excuse the dirty gun pics, I haven't even wiped it down yet but tomorrow it is getting a day at the Spa. Needless to say I am twitchin like a humminbird on meth! usnmars 136 Posted January 14, 2015 Well she went to the day spa today and is maybe the cleanest 97 around. I put the repro heat shield on and "aged" it a little bit and digging through my parts stash I found a 1918 sling, same year as the gun. So here she is cleaned up and starting to look good.
