mipafox 438 Posted January 18, 2015 The bottom line is she is a very nice lady and a great AG. I think that meets my NJGunforums posting requirements.

robot_hell 72 Posted August 6, 2015 This is great, it could prevent the further degradation of gun laws in PA, but unless the new AG makes a specific point to reverse it, we may be stuck with the current reciprocity.
Smokin .50 1,907 Posted August 6, 2015 6abc.com just reported that Wolff asked her to step down. EVEN BETTER NEWS, LOL! Only problem is Wolf is a DB Progressive and will appoint a Gun-Grabber (or already has a hand-picked one waitin' in the wings), as this is the second shoe to drop.... She didn't harm any gun laws in PA. She just made it harder for some citizens of other states to carry here in non-resident licenses. Does not affect PA citizens at all. I would still like to see a pic of her doing a perp walk to a long prison sentence. Her heart (if she has one) is certainly in the wrong place.
glockamole 0 Posted August 6, 2015 It's does affect pa citizens in some ways. I don't spend money in PA and instead travel and vacation in Delaware because they allow me to carry while in their state. Delaware gets my business and in return that helps the citizens of Delaware. My money is kept out of the hands of PA residents. Make my Utah good in PA and I'll be making weekend trips to PA to spend my money. I'm being 100% serious, we've have these conversations after Jersey people walked out in front of me. They know I am from Jersey as well (here comes a Joe Piscapo skit). PA doesn't look at out of staters as cash cows like Jersey does from what I can tell. I'm sure the casinos and attractions are interested but nobody else is. mipafox 438 Posted August 7, 2015 I forgot those, yeah you are damn right about that. Years ago, I tried to go into the wrong one (TNT?) and they had and armed guard at the door. There was an NJ family with kids that saw me walking up armed and almost went into a panic. Which is weird, because dozens of people from NJ notice me armed every week and I never get more than a weird look. He said he needed to see ID and I said I wanted to see the PA side. He said we don't have a PA side, you gotta get your honkey ass outta here. I told him I would leave but if he didn't apologize I would speak to the owner. He said "it's cool" or something, which I reluctantly accepted considering the circumstances. Then he told me it was the other place south of the 611 exit on 78 that had the PA side. I left and the NJ people came back from their car as I was leaving. BTW, NJ puts state cops on that road in the weeks leading up to 7/4 and 12/31, logging NJ plates and calling them in over the river. At least they did up through a few years ago. Why do you think that is? I'd guess some of the NJ customers are a lot like the Real Housewives of NJ. But I think a lot of people that shop in PA are nothing like that and they don't realize they're waiting on a Joisey dude.

Or they just don't like us. I haven't pinned them all down in detail. They seem OK with me. Some of them I straight up told years ago that I came to PA to get away from Jersey, not to make PA like Jersey. And I was their greatest ally and didn't want more people coming from Jersey, either. They seemed to have figured me out. The outside gun probably helps, and whenever they start bitching I don't just have the right responses, I usually kick it up a notch. You cool, but regarding Jersey in general, I think most people hope it falls into the sea before Cali. After years of seeing the vibe and discussing it, I will do you a solid. I know a lot of the owners and some of them are medium sized, multiple locations and a few different franchises. I'll try to pin them down and get them to spell out what I think I already know and report back here.

Kevin125 4,772 Posted August 7, 2015 I can't blame them for not wanting to deal with some of the people that live here. The funny part is I think a lot of the issues with the people from Jersey are that many of these people are arrogant pricks from NYC. Not that everyone from NY is an arrogant prick. A lot of good people there. But my town was over run with NY transplants. Just driving around here would make anyone crazy. I spent some time in retail when I was younger. Few things wreck your day more than an asshole that thinks you have to fall all over them because they're buying some $20 item...all while they treat you like shit. I guess after dealing with that too many times...PA residents might want the "Border Fence" built along the Delaware River. That's too bad though. Most people born and raised outside of the overbuilt urban and suburban areas don't suck.

Most people born and raised outside of the overbuilt urban and suburban areas don't suck. You know the Sheriffs in the northeast of PA that won't issue permits to out of staters? One of them straight up said it was New yorkers coming in and bossing people around and acting like assholes. Pike County Sheriff. Here is what they had on their website a few years ago: "The Pike County Sheriff’s Office will no longer be accepting out of state resident license to carry applications effective immediately. It is impossible to investigate the many applications from out of state that are being denied or being placed into research due to criminal charges in another jurisdiction. This office has no authority across state lines and cannot conduct a proper investigation on character and reputation that is paramount before issuing any license. Since last year this office has been receiving out of state applications at an alarming rate at a 20: 1 ratio to Pike County residents. Many out of state applicants never return for their permit or are put into research and cannot be reached when called by this office. Pike along with several other counties have ceased issuing out of state license to carry permits at this time due to the same reason. Pike County residents will be unaffected by this rule." It's a lot more diplomatic, but they straight up said NYers are scumbags and not welcome at the Sheriff's office. There is a lot of disdain for NYers and Jersey people starting around here in Lehigh County and running up north. I don't know much about the Poconos, NYers probably are the majority up there now but they completely destroyed the region and everybody else hates them. Having traveled a lot over decades I have always been very sure to be polite and test the waters in places I was unfamiliar with. When I moved to Lehigh Valley several years ago I did the same but I also had a heads-up that they didn't like people from Jersey moving in so I put on my Sunday best for a while and kissed a few babies when I got here. That's all I know.
