FNX-45 Tactical Barrel Scratches

I just picked up a new FNX-45 Tactical.  To my surprise, there are multiple horizontal scratches along the barrel on both sides.  I called FN support and the guy said that it is normal for that gun.  A little Google-foo showed a post from someone with a similar barrel.  I've never seen this on any pistol (new or old), especially one in this price range.  Do any of you FN owners have this problem?  Anything to worry about?

I have an FNX45 non-tac and it had some marks on the barrel...gun has run flawless for me..keeping a light coat of oil on the barrel should help reduce those marks...if she cycles fine then I would not worry about them at all..enjoy!..

Could be that you may just have a slight burr on the slide. If it is it'll wear away before it ever affects the barrel itself.
