Recommended Posts

Anyone looking for 22LR cabelas in Delaware has a bunch of it out. 26.99 Remington thunderbolt 500 rounds seems like they keep putting more out as customers take it. Been here for sometime snd the shelf is full . Just in case anyone is looking. Regards

Man I left and never thought to look to see if anyone would respond. I have one box I bought last Thursday that I could give you, same make and round count saw it and bought it...... Today they had maybe 60 boxes and were replacing it as people took it,only bought it to use in a conversion kit for one of my 1911s. If you want it let me know and I will hold it and get it to you.

No problem I get down there every other week to pick up stuff so if you need it no problem just let me know and I can meet you as I have to qualify a couple guys next week, Also if I do see it again advise if you want me to get you any and how many boxes. Not sure if they were still limiting them. I don't need or use much .22, regards john.

Can somebody provide an approved ammo list so if we see it we can advise about availability given that some members ask about it. Sure don't want to waste anyones time....... Sometimes we can't just get the good stuff. Didn't someone on another page enquire about a recommendation for a .22 that will shoot anything including this crap........

Guns like m&p-15 22 need a higher quality to feed. But when it comes down to it anything is better then nothing. But on a forum you'll never get everyone to agree. Except maybe on cci mini mags

My M&P 15-22 eats anything/ everything I every fed it.  Now my one of my .22 pistols will only chew minimags and golden bullet.  ???

Funny thing is I never give much thought when I do buy .22 ammo . Over the years if it did not work in one gun I just shoot it in another..... God forbid even a bolt gun.But that's just me.....

Same here, my SR22 eats anything and if it didn't I can always use it in my bolt rifle

Thunderbolts work 100% in my Henry lever gun and Marlin XT-22.  .22LR was designed in 1887, I always wonder why people expect it to function at all in a semi-auto action.

Very good point!!! Thankfully it does seem to work though. Life would be much more expensive without the lowly .22!

Assuming the round feeds into the chamber, the primer and powder are ignited and the projectile exits the barrel and hits the tin can. Not a safe assumption based on my experience with thunderdolts (sic).

I second that statement! Not to mention the mess it makes out of your gun. I have an old Marlin bolt action, from Grandpa that's the only gun I shoot thunderbolts from. But that rifle will shoot just about anything I stick in the magazine.
