louu 399 Posted February 23, 2015 Its actually pretty easy, I got some kydex from Amazon. Cut it to size and stick it in a toaster oven. Then wrap it around the gun and stick it in a Harbor Freight vacume bag. Youll end up with something like this A little time on the scroll saw and you get this A little sanding with the Dremel, drill some holes and your finished
JonF 79 Posted February 23, 2015 Not bad Obama. Now cut yourself out a piece of kydex for a drop/offset hanger or get the BOSS and call it a day. You wont need that belt height setup if you plan to use that in Production.

louu 399 Posted February 24, 2015 Thanks Brian, I was talking about you today. Dave Chambers is in my break trailer at work. You coach his daughter. Small world, never thought I would meet anyone outside of the range that shoots completely.
njJoniGuy 2,129 Posted February 24, 2015 Dave shoots on the SJSC HiPower team with us (when his job doesn't interfere!) and also the occasional SJSC 200yd XTC match. I hope we see Dave and Autumn back this year for the new season of Tuesday Youth Rifle League at SJSC that begins on May 5. And I hope we see you come out for some XTC matches at SJSC (usually 3rd Sunday) and Cumberland (usually 1st Sunday) this season.
louu 399 Posted February 24, 2015 I been thinking about it, I still have to get a mat, coat and scope. If theres no pistol stuff going on I'll probably do some rifle stuff. I shouldn't let that bad ass rifle collect dust.
A-Tech 8 Posted February 24, 2015 Not bad. There are a few things that could be different. Most notably, the trigger guard. You may want to relieve the tension around the trigger a bit. Having it molded with the trigger back can lead to an AD when holstering. Overall it's a damn good first attempt.
weekend_junkie 129 Posted March 13, 2015 I like this! I'm still a greenhorn in this sport, but an old hack at making things. Your pictures inspire my confidence to do the same thing. I don't get the Obama reference?I could be reading it wrong, but he might be implying that "you didn't make that".
