AlDente67 563 Posted February 24, 2015 Torn between some thing in .308 versus the Beretta 45. I thow they are entirely different, but I have the Storm in 9mm. If I ever bother with the paperwork again, I'd like to add a 45 pistol, which follows my ammo consolidation idea. The price of any 308 is going to be much higher than the Storm, but 45 ammo is much cheaper to boot. Thoughts? I'm on a tight budget.
diamondd817 826 Posted February 24, 2015 How about the Beretta CX4 carbine in 9mm that uses your PX4 mags?
Krdshrk 3,877 Posted February 24, 2015 Get something in bolt action in .308 then? Savage Axis XP doesn't break the bank...
T Bill 649 Posted February 24, 2015 Tight budget? Go for something in 45, you won't regret it. Not really impressed with the AR10 style 308 offerings at the moment.
siderman 1,137 Posted February 24, 2015 Speaking for the Beretta part of your question...the cx4 in 45 can be had for about $550 now and free shipping from some places. search SlickGuns. If you get the px4 in 45 Sierra Papa makes a magwell/mag button kit to accomodate the px4 mags but has temp stopped making them for a few months. I too have the cx4 in 9 and in keeping with ammo AND magazine consolidation can use the mags from either my 92 or cougar to run in the cx4. The cx4 45 is tempting as I also have a 45 cougar that uses the same mags the cx4 comes stock with.
