Ruger AR-556

Recommended Posts

I was looking at it as an affordable "starter" AR ala M&P Sport.

I also plan on doing a build as well, but I'd like to have an AR to shoot in the meantime.

Edit- In response to jty. I don't know why your quote didn't show up.

I have the SR-556 (2 stage piston) M4 rifle in stock

Pm or call me for details....................

Thank you, JT.

I like the SR as well. I'll definitely keep you in mind.

I'm exploring options and looking to see if the AR-556 has been spotted in the wild yet.

If you looking for affordable without settling on a starter AR, we have Windham's in stock at 800.00

Maybe "starter" was a poor word choice. Lol.

Thank you for extending the offer, remixer. Everything is an option at this point.

I'd like to know if the Rugers availability or unavailability should bump it from consideration.

Saw that Ruger AR at J&J gunworks in clementon. Very nice gun.  He said he can make it Jersey legal.  Now gotta save up my $.

Cool. If he's willing to do compliance work on it, then there must not be anything stamped on the lower that would put it on the "banned by name" list.

I'm going to send Ruger an email to see if they plan on offering a NJ model. Will update with any response I receive.

I doubt Ruger will make NJ compliant models due to low sales volume, pending legislation to ban them (near future - 2017),  and they are busier than ever producing models that sell in the idiot free states.  Notice hardly any of the big gun makers make a NY state compliant AR.  Just not worth the time or trouble.  If you want one have a dealer neuter it for you is their opinion.

Ask them when they're going to make a jersey legal AC556 lol. That's the one I'm interested in. I just need to obtain that pesky FFL 07. Or move 24 miles west.

Ha! Looking to get your inner A-Team on?

(Even though the show faked it with regular Mini-14s and sound effects.)

Lol, you left out horrible acting too! But what did I know at 8 years old haha. That show was awesome to me! Probably why I have a mini 14 obsession today.
