Anyone been to Solomon's recently and if so did he have anything on hand?

Was at sarco last week they had some powder not sure what your looking for, mostly rifle powder and some shotshell- pistol powder..

Mike -- Promo will be just fine for 9mm -- I use it in 9mm, 45acp, 38 special, 38 super, 12 guage and 20 guage shotshell 

 

Promo is a red dot alternative and loaded to the same weights as red dot -- 4.3 grains of red dot is the same as 4.3 grains or promo -- not by volume but weight

 

I can get you plenty of published red dot load data from my older load books

 

Last time I bought promo I bought 4 - 8 pound jugs somewhere around $70 each

I bought a couple pounds of W231 at Soloman's on Wednesday. He said that was the only brand of pistol powder he had.

I knew that couldn't be recent lol...Double that, even more. 8lb jug CFE Pistol was 175 at Oaks in Dec.

CAC associates, right now -- 8 pounds promo -- $98.47 -- not saying they have it must email for availability 

 

Powder valley -- $103 -- out of stock

 

Graf's -- $113 -- out of stock

 

Point is -- if solomons has promo it should be the least expensive of powders suitable for handgun reloading

They sold me 2 pounds of W231.  I'd have bought more if they offered but when I asked 2 pounds was the most they'd sell me.  

 

That will keep me OK for a few months anyway.
