Can't decide on a 9mm

Recommended Posts

went to my LGS today, they were sold out of G19s which is what I was gonna get...got them down to 1220 OTD on the sig P229 elite...walked away, couldn't do it.

gonna shoot some more 9s then reconsider. thoughts on that price?

I just got my p229 elite and love it... But $1220 OTD is ridiculous.

I'd give Tom at Oakridge Firearms a call. He hooked me up on mine for a great price.

Woah...that's insane! Why don't you simply buy online, or our contact our Merchant forumites - I bet they will more than able to match online prices.

You can almost buy 3 Glocks for that price!

Get te G19, spend the rest of the money on ammo and a class.

that's probably what I'm gonna end up doing. might go to RTSP and see what their glock day event is all about.

If it's a work gun probably a Glock or Sig, but you are right most Dept's do not let you buy and use personal sidearms unless (I've been told) you qualified with that weapon.

The department I'm most likely going to work for allows you to use certain pistols as long as you qualify with them.

I actually forgot we had that feature. I didn't think my LGS was gonna have that big of a mark up though becuase I got a decent deal on my G21 a while back.

The Sig 320 may be worth looking into. Sig reliability and striker fired. It also has some interesting versatility in both size configurations and calibers. While I'm typing this, I realize I'm selling myself on the idea.

++++1

Honestly, I'm actually switching over from my Glocks to Sig P320s... those pistols are lightyears better than Glocks are.

I though Glock still offered LE discounts? you should be able to get a good deal on a factory new Glock..

Got a gen4 G19 on glock Day at RTSP with glock night sights.

If this gun satisfies my 9mm needs i'll probably look into another full sized .45. Didn't get to bring the gun home tho bc nics was too backed up

Congrats on the Glock! Great purchase.
