my72ss 3 Posted March 14, 2015 If I have an Arsenal SLR-66 AK-style rifle shipped to my FFL for compliant work, would that be acceptable to be a legal rifle? In most cases that if a rifle is not on the assault weapons list and has compliant work done would be enough to make it legal. Yes I know of the evil features the guns can't have , I guess my question is if you get a gun and have compliant work done will that be good enough to use said gun with out hassles legal or at the range? I have a Mak-90 which is legal in N.J. but i'm always worried when I take it out ,so a black Arsenal AK may be scrutinized more. Opinions or experience would be helpful . DeerSlayer 241 Posted March 14, 2015 As long as it meets the evil features guidelines before you take possession, and isn't a gun specifically banned by name. "AK47 types" are on the list in NJ. As long as the receiver isn't stamped "AK47" it's good here AFAIK. I know a few people with arsenal AK variants. Pretty sure you're ok. Check with your FFL before you have it shipped, some don't do compliance work.

JT Custom Guns 956 Posted March 14, 2015 Once the dealer performs the needed modifications the gun becomes legal in NJ. Any questions - please fell free to contact me and we can discuss it......... Good Luck! JT
