Lecky 1 Posted March 14, 2015 Hi all, can I please get the easiest directions to the outdoor range from scotch plains, union county? Thank you.
Vlad G 345 Posted March 14, 2015 Easiest? Drive south until you get on 287 S, follow it as it becomes 440 N, get on Rt 9 South, make sure you stay in 9 south as it splits from Rt 35, follow Rt 9 to 516 W, then take the Jake Brown Rd exit off 516 (not off Rt 9) and drive till the end. Alternatively, possibly simpler, but with more traffic, 287 to 18 S, follow 18 S to 516 East, then again Jake Brown road. You can Also take Turnpike to Rt 18 if you wish, it may be less traffic. Or Parkway to Rt 9 to 516 .. Also, google maps is your friend?
AlexTheSane 236 Posted March 14, 2015 You can use this as a landmark. But don't stop there, you keep going and eventually you will see the OBRPC outdoor range. https://www.google.com/maps/place/Blonder+Tongue+Laboratories/@40.409163,-74.328674,17z/data=!3m1!4b1!4m2!3m1!1s0x89c3cc3ef57a4cab:0x74c25a3844444a8f
Taipan 0 Posted March 14, 2015 I take Parkway South to Route 9 South to 516. Right on Jake Brown Road, to end, past commercial building onto dirt road. You need the combination to open the lock on the gate to get through to the range. If you have a GPS, use 1 Jake Brown Road, Old Bridge.

Just as fast and avoids the toll. You know you are at Jake Brown road when you come to a ligh with a no name gas station/repair shop on your right and a bagel boy on your left.
