revenger 472 Posted March 21, 2015 Ammoland.com and GOA have story on the Senate voting next week on many gun related laws, Reciprocity being one of them. start calling the sponsors of the laws and I guess our worthless senators as well.
mipafox 438 Posted March 21, 2015 You are darn right you need to call yours as well. Don't let them live in an echo chamber, that accomplishes nothing. Let's at least make them squirm a little! Call majority and minority leaders in both houses as well, as well as Speaker of the House, and the Whips. They spend your damn money after all and they are the leaders of your party (LOL) as elected by your senators and reps (LOLOLOL) with your money (LOLOLOLOLOL)! Seriously. Never let anybody in a leadership position complain that you are not their constituent. They lost that privilege, and if that is their position then we won't donate to or vote for their party. SgtToadette 59 Posted March 21, 2015 I'm all for contacting your reps, but this bill is dead in the water and Republicans know that. They sent this into the fire on purpose so that the Dems will kill it, making us angry in the process and earning Republicans our votes. If they really cared, they would attach national reciprocity to another bill which the Dems would have to vote on.

It might be vetoed, it might not, but that wouldn't end it either. ^Don't listen to the naysayers. Get your rear and your friends to call the legislators and demand a call back from their staff with THEIR plan to get other legislators on board. Have them call you back and tell you what they are going to do to push this forward. What just happened with the ATF, throwing them on their heels and forcing them to regroup, that is pretty much unprecedented. This is child's play in comparison. The sky is the limit. You all better make hay while the sun is shining, because Winter is on the way. Pick up your phone.
Michael2013 56 Posted March 21, 2015 I think some Ds can join Rs for the reciprocity bill, probably not enough to be veto proof. Anyway, cleaning my phones...
matty 810 Posted March 21, 2015 Oh LAWD, I actually agree with bonding diagram man! Contact Booker & Menendez, we know which way they are going to vote anyway, but don't let them get away with not knowing what you want. Don't listen to the defeatists that get their 'knowledge' of political strategy from the other side's playbook, or hostile media's supposed 'conservatives' that says what the opposition 'should' do. I got a fax machine and a phone line will make good use of it--Should be a thread for this when the vote comes up, to include Representatives to bug at the same time If every gun owner in New Jersey called it would probably pass.I said New Jersey. It might be vetoed, it might not, but that wouldn't end it either.^Don't listen to the naysayers. Tack Tickle 0 Posted March 22, 2015 These two bills give us the best shot of being able to carry. The others mentioned require a home state issued permit. These two below require "A" permit, like Virginia, Florida or Utah, etc. technically we could carry in NJ with the way this is written since "NJ doesn't prohibit carry". That is if you have a valid carry permit of course. while the others have 20 or so cosponsors, these two below have 80 and 114 cosponsors. "allow any person with a valid carry permit or license issued by a state to carry a concealed firearm in any other state that does not prohibit concealed carry." H.R. 986 – Introduced by U.S. Representative Richard Hudson (R-N.C.), this bill would allow any person with a valid carry permit or license issued by a state to carry a concealed firearm in any other state that does not prohibit concealed carry. This bill would also provide legal protection for law-abiding concealed carry permit holders against states that violate the intent of this bill. This bill currently has 114 cosponsors. Please contact your U.S. Representative at (202) 224-3121 and ask him or her to cosponsor and support H.R. 986. H.R. 402 – Introduced by U.S. Representative Rich Nugent (R-Fla.), this bill would allow any person with a valid carry permit or license issued by a state to carry a concealed firearm in any other state that does not prohibit concealed carry. The bill currently has 80 cosponsors. Please contact your U.S. Representative at (202) 224-3121 and ask him or her to cosponsor and support H.R. 402. jackandjill 683 Posted March 22, 2015 https://www.nraila.org/articles/20150320/new-update-national-right-to-carry-reciprocity-legislation I still dont see where it says they are voting on these. That link just says the Congress Critters will be in back in session. GOA says there is some type of budget discussion and "when these bills come up for vote later in the year...."..
