I'm redoing my work area in my basement and have added new workbenches. I have considered building from the start but found the following and said the hell with it.

I can't say how tickled I am to have found this workbench at Home Depot. It's sturdy as a rock, requires no assembly and very well put together. The photo on HD's site does not justify this bugger.

For $70, why build one? The material you need may run cheaper, but you have to acquire it, cut it and build it. So this thing for the cost is worth it because it's a no brainer. I love working with wood, but my basement is hard to work in with lengths of wood. One swing the wrong way, I can take out a boiler or water heater. And for the folks that would like a new bench but are not skilled in building, this one is for you!

It makes a great reloading bench or anything else. It's stainable or paintable.. I fasten mine to the wall to make it strurdier because I have no need to move it. But it's legs fold into itself and the shelf on the bottom slips in and makes it whole and sturdy. Want to move or stow it? Just remove shelf and fold it in. Here is a link to it. HD's photo sux.. In fact, the top they show is not the one you get. You get one even better. It's a type of saw dust particle board. Very strong... (Check out the review someone gave with his phtos for more shots and he added casters... Here is a shot of mine assembled and in place.

If the top is particle board, Either seal it with a poly urethane or cover it with fiberboard. Particle board will suck up any and all moisture and weaken as it does.

Not sure what it is. But I sealed it. It's solid. It's also easily replacable.

I may top it with some steel, but for now, I have a carpeted work area on it till I make up my mind.

It weighs about 100 lbs. i put an ancient vice that was about 80 lbs on it and a 50 lb grinder on it. Only reason I bolted it to the wall was because I had a 2x4 in the vice with some stubborn spikes in it. While I was yanking the spikes out, I jolted the whole table.

Otherwise, me not knowing weights of your reloading gear cause I don't reload, as long as you are not yanking the crap out of something, don't see why not. I sat on it and no prob. If you are not going to collapse it, put in a couple deck screws to hold shelf in so it gives it a lil more sturdiness.

I looked at this bench at HD when I finished the room for my reloading equipment and Gun cabinets.

I dont think there would be any problem using it for reloading. I would suggest some reinforcement where you would be mounting your press though. And securing it to the wall will stiffen it A lot. A secure and stable bench will insure good reloads for A long time.

I didnt go with it because I built my bench in An L shape and added A top shelf over the top for my turrets, Dies, and other components.  One thing for sure, no matter how big you think it is, you will always want more room.

I'm considering this as well. Went and looked at it the other day and would say it needs to be bolted to the wall. They had one standing there and it moves too easily when pushing and tugging on it. I think when re-sizing brass, the table would move too much if not secured.

No doubt. It weighs about 100 lbs. but having my vive on there and beating on something, I managed to move the whole thing, hence why I bolted it.

It's still great for the price. Most cases, an bench when yanked will move.

I put some runner carpet on top to keep stuff from rolling off. Just stapled a small piece to keep stuff from rolling off.

Please read this entire post, there is a lot of information, please read read all of it before making a decision. I am selling ALL of my reloading equipment, everything set up for 9mm, 45 ACP, 223, and 308.
I will not ship Large or Hazmat items, pick up local in the Manalapan area. I am willing to drive 10 miles in any direction. For large orders I would consider driving further.
I can ship small items on your dime. Keep in mind, bullets are small but very heavy, shipping them will be expensive

My pricing methodology is simple, all prices are based on retail prices as of 6/29/2022:
All hardware, whether New or Used, is 10% below amazon prices.
Bullets are full retail price per powder valley and Berry’s prices for un-opened boxes. 10% below retail for loose bullets
All prices are rounded to the nearest dollar
There is always room to negotiate price as long as the offers are reasonable. But all negotiations must be completed prior to delivery, not during the delivery (I had a bad experience with this).

First “I’ll take it” in the thread, not via PM, gets the sale.
If we are negotiating via PM and someone says “I’ll take it” in the thread during negotiations, the “I’ll take it” gets the sale.

Most items can be purchased separately but some will need to be combined for obvious reasons. Here is the extensive list. Photos will be provided upon request, there are too many to put into the post.

I loaded a few hundred 9mm with 5 grains of CFE-Pistol and 115 grain FMJRN heads. I have not had the chance to get to the range yet.
Does this load sound good, or too small?  I will also be using  some 115 grain plated and wondering if the same powder load would be correct.
I tried looking all over the Net for info on the CFE-Pistol but most of the info I found was for 124 grain or heavier heads.   Thanks!

    • Just a heads-up for anyone who might also be in this situation. I joined USLS mid-April of 2022. Some time after renewing for 2023, I changed email providers, and dutifully reflected my new address on my account page. So, I have been anticipating renewal alerts at my new address, but those never arrived. I logged in to my account the other day, and was surprised to see that my subscription expired that same day. I went to my account main information page, confimed that my email address was correct, then went to the billing page, which showed my previous two payments, but which did not give me any apparent way to pay up for the new year. I requested support using the Customer Service form on the web site, but received no reply. Today I called their support number. Apparently changing the email address from my view of my account page did nothing to change the address that they use internally for billing purposes, including expiration notifications. Maybe they also use that address for replies to the support form, even if a different email address is entered there. Also, my account was set up to auto-renew and charge my credit card without my intervention, but that setting did not show on my account page in any obvious way. So, if you have USLS and have changed your email address since you last renewed, you might want to give them a call to ensure that they send renewal information to your correct address. The prospect of having legal coverage lapse while carrying in NJ was, for me, a less that confidence inspiring experience. I will note that the telephone-based customer service was excellent.
    • F*n imbeciles. They know damned well (or should) that, even if passed by the Colorado Senate and signed into law, virtually that entire load of crap is certain to fail Bruen/Heller scrutiny, and probably sooner, rather than later (SCOTUS). What a monumental waste of time (of course, how much can a dip$h*t's time be worth, anyway?) and energy. I passed through Colorado a few times in the 70s, and visited some clients there in the 80's & 90's, and, even by the end of that period, I had the impression that it was politically fairly conservative (with a few exceptions such as Aspen). WTF happened?

    • Ahhh ... Chicken Wing ! It works when you practice it.  Nice unsupported offhand, sir.
