Sent the states copy in of my permit and was just wondering. Do you hear anything back after that? Do I get some kind of letter saying it was all approved?

That top copy (to which you refer) is also ILLEGALLY the "Form of Register" of the newly acquired handgun.

It comes OFF the seller's registration record (if the Seller is a PRNJ subject) and goes ON the buyer's registration record.

 

That way, the day after Kristallnacht the authorities know exactly where to go to collect the handguns.

 

Nobody will hear a thing back from them unless the gun comes up hot when they enter it in the database.

Your next handgun can be taken possession of on the 31st day from the date you took last possession of.
