...Huge difference between Colorado and here. We do not really have a gun culture, they do. The politicians out there know that even democrats have guns and will vote on that issue. We have close to the lowest percentage of gun ownership, and in this state even republicans are anti-gun....

 

Some counties still do.  2/3 of Sweeney's district has a gun culture.

 

 

Obviously they didn't care enough to vote him out in the last election.

 

This is precisely why get-out-the-vote could be successful. Even if it loses, if Sweeney wins by 800 instead of 6,000, now that might cause him to take notice. We could even make a difference in near-hopeless districts. Again we would not beat them unless every gun owner voted, but causing even a minor electoral quake might cause them to take us seriously.
