AVB-AMG 530 Posted May 3, 2015 You can wait until the Beretta M9a3 comes out. I understand that the Beretta M9A3 is the latest incarnation of the circa-1985 M9. That it incorporates a number of improvements identified by the company, American servicemen, as well as in response to the U.A. Army’s Request for Proposal (RFP) of the relatively new Modular Handgun System (MHS). Beretta has also announced earlier this year that they will start producing and eventually selling to the public, their first striker-fired handgun, called the Beretta APX. It seems like most of the old line firearms manufacturers have decided they want to take back some market share from Glock and are offering their versions of a polymer body, striker-fired hand gun. That is a strong testament to the enlightened creativity of Glock back in the 1980’s when they first introduced their Glock 17. Most of these new handguns have made many improvements on the original Glock design so it appears that the market offerings are charting a course towards parity. Examples include the H&K VP9, the Sig Sauer P320, & Walther PPQ M2, etc... All the more reason to seek out, test shoot and enjoy the various other options still available to us.
