tinman22 0 Posted July 21, 2015 Sgt Hollar is defiantly a gun guy. Helped my gf pick her last hand gun.unless he got transfered back. I thought he has been down in the netcong barracks for the last 2 years or so.
Mr.Stu 1,916 Posted July 21, 2015 It seems Sgt. Hollar is stationed at Augusta Barracks in Sussex now. I have an appointment to see him on Thursday.

msokad 3 Posted July 22, 2015 My last permit took 3 weeks. Definitely quicker than past times by about 2 weeks.
Old Glock guy 1,127 Posted July 22, 2015 When you take a step back from this, it's really pretty sad that we are celebrating only having to wait weeks rather than months to be able to exercise a Constitutionally protected right. In many, if not most states, one can just walk into a store, show a driver's license, wait for a NICS check, and walk out with a gun.

In many, if not most states, one can just walk into a store, show a driver's license, wait for a NICS check, and walk out with a gun. How very true. I have heard many stories how once you get out of New Jermany you can pick out a gun and when you go to pay for it the NICS approval comes back faster than your credit card approval. What a sad commentary on New Jermany.
Newtonian 453 Posted July 22, 2015 We moved out of Randolph in 1994 to Sussex County. The Randoplh permits were just as fast then. That almost justified paying the exorbitant property taxes in that town. No such luck with the NJSP up here. Newton has consistently been < 30 days except when they were having problems with Patrolman Penis, Detective Dick, Sergeant Scrotum, and Lieutenant Littleballs. Mr.Stu 1,916 Posted July 24, 2015 So I handed in my forms to Sgt. Hollar yesterday. I had already done the online background check the week before so he already had that back. He called my references within 2 hours so I'm really pleased with his diligence. He'd did warn me that it could take a few months because of delays in Trenton. It's been a good experience so far. robot_hell 72 Posted July 24, 2015 What's Trenton have to do with it?
Mr.Stu 1,916 Posted July 25, 2015 What's Trenton have to do with it?When FPID and/or permits are processed by NJSP rather than town police the permits are generated at NJSP HQ in Trenton, not the local barracks, I'm told.
MK25 V 3 Posted July 25, 2015 The first time I went for my FID and P2P it took less than 3 weeks when everything was ready for pickup which was great BUT I waited 5-6 weeks cause I was never called... They said they will call when it was ready (which never happened) but I finally got tired and the courage to call and was pissed at myself for not checking about the status FID and P2P earlier. Now I am going for some more P2P and I am checking in every week. I am now at the 4th week which is not too bad and they said it "should be ready Next week and we will call you when it's ready for pickup."
Maximus 16 Posted July 25, 2015 So since I did the online criminal history check and submitted the mental health form and the sts033 form and my references emailed me to say they sent their references back, what are the odds on getting my permits in under the 3 months they told me it would take?? The_Matrix 105 Posted July 28, 2015 Update, I finally got my permit...pick it up today....Total time = 8 month (East Brunswick). remind me to never move to East Brunswick. 8 month--- you're kidding right?
Kevin125 4,772 Posted July 28, 2015 Update, I finally got my permit...pick it up today....Total time = 8 month (East Brunswick). Now that you have your permits, you might want to complain to the mayor and town council about the inept East Brunswick PD. And tell the PD Chief that same thing. 8 months is ridiculous.
