Smokin .50 1,907 Posted May 18, 2015 In NJ we already have a law sorta covering this as it allows legal transfer of willed personal property (GUNS) to felons. Said felon then has 180 days to properly dispose of said guns, with a copy of the record of sale sent to the proper authorities. Care, custody and control of said guns are to be given to a third party so as to allow for full retail value to be obtained (if desired) by the felon whom the guns were willed to. revenger 473 Posted May 18, 2015 Don't understand how the SCOTUS will take a case like this but our justifiable need case which is a crystal clear infringement of a right goes nowhere?
maintenanceguy 510 Posted May 18, 2015 Don't understand how the SCOTUS will take a case like this but our justifiable need case which is a crystal clear infringement of a right goes nowhere? The courts, including the Supreme Court have shown that they're willing, maybe even eager, to ignore what the constitution says in favor of what they wish it said. Letting a felon sell his guns isn't scary. Letting regular people exercise their right to bear arms scares some people - probably some Supreme Court Justices.
