Reloaded Ammo Storage options

Recommended Posts

Folgers plastic coffee cans come with an air tight seal. I use them for all sorts of storage, loaded ammo, various batches of brass in various stages, etc. You can get one of those silver markers and just write on the black lid what is inside, and then save the lids and re-use them next time you have a batch of ".223, twice fired, cleaned" or whatever.

And they are free, once I drink the coffee.

And you're being "environmentally sensitive".

I too use this method but generally for brass in various stages (need to be deprimed, cleaned, sized, etc)

I use plastic gallon pretzel jars. .

I like the pretzel jar idea. It is clear so u see what is in them as a bonus...

Also Domino sugar uses the exact same container as the red folders coffee but it is yellow.

I was going to swing by the dollar store to see what they had as well...

Whatever I go with I want to be consistent and have a stash closet I am proud of not a something that looks like Fred Flintstones closet.

Do youze guys live in a swamp? I get Xtreme bullets in the  1000 round boxes and once the rounds are made I just throw them right back in the cardboard box. Never had no rusty bullets.

Rust isn't actually the problem, seeing how brass doesn't do that, but you can get crap on them, the brass will tarnish, etc. It isn't a big issue if you shoot it soon after you reload it.

Also, for some reason they never fit back in the boxes they came in. I think it has to do with the extra brass case or something.

Keep shooting and eventually you'll have more boxes than bullets. I haven't done the math on it but some how it works out...

I was just kidding about the rust, to lazy to spell tarnish.

the rounds I mentioned rusting were steel case hence they will rust if stored in poor conditions.

But brass will tarnish like Vlad said.

I doubt OP is trying to reload steel or bi-metal cases.

Edit: Funny when you said keep shooting you'll have more boxes than bullets, ain't that the truth! lol
