Golf battery 1,223 Posted June 4, 2015 So i just picked up a m1a socom 16 OD used from tanners. Always wanted one. I want to put an aimpoint on it because ive never had one and i need to. Question is. Which one. I want to use this for the three gun at oldbridge at the end of the month.
Tack Tickle 0 Posted June 5, 2015 Can't go wrong with the Pro, however the T1 looks sweet on the M1A! By the way, there's a guy on the PAFOA forums with a Leupold FXII 2.5x scout scope with Warnes ring on sale for $285. That's a good setup for 3 gun. Golf battery 1,223 Posted June 5, 2015 Yeah. Im hoping i can cowitness the sights. I have no idea. But these sights on the m1a look awfully low to start with. But ill look into it. Checked it out. I think i want more of a red dot. Thanks though.
Tack Tickle 0 Posted June 5, 2015 Not to steer you away from the aimpoints, but I would also check out the Primary Arms advanced red dot and the Hi-Lux micro dot. Both great red dot scopes. They both have 50,000 hours of battery life.
High Exposure 5,662 Posted June 5, 2015 It's all about your budget. If you can afford it, get the T1. If you don't want to spend that much, get the PRO. You will be getting quality gear either way.
MidwestPX 172 Posted June 5, 2015 I don't like Micros but on a heavy rifle like an M1A, I'd say get a H1/T1 to reduce the added weight. I personally prefer full size tubes so most of my Aimpoints are M2s or Pros. I do have a couple T1s but one is on a shotgun and the other is on the AM15 .22 MG. Golf battery 1,223 Posted June 5, 2015 Thanks again. Let me check out the t1. In this sport money is not the stall. Quality reigns.

Stonecoldchavez 92 Posted June 5, 2015 I believe, Yes. Depends on the mount height you get. I got mine from LaRue Tactical with the QD mount.
Tack Tickle 0 Posted June 5, 2015 If you are going for quality and don't mind the small size get the T1. The Pro is going to be adding some weight on an already hefty rifle. Pro is almost 3/4 lb and the T1 is less then 1/4 lb.
