Junior 14 Posted June 11, 2015 Visiting My old man in Arizona and I brought my M&P 340 to CC while I'm here. Started talking guns and he remembered he had bought this a while back but never fired it. Has all the original accessories plus some neat extras. Bianchi IWB Holster, Altamont Grips, extra Mag (I believe it only came with one) Anyway it's a first for me so i thought I'd share it. I need to figure out (if I could convince him to give or sell it to me) if I can just take it back with me on the plane or do I need to ship it through a FFL... Krdshrk 3,877 Posted June 11, 2015 Since it's a pistol it would have to be shipped to a FFL in NJ.
GRIZ 3,369 Posted June 11, 2015 I've had one for about 35 years. Very accurate if you can learn to work with the tiny sights. Just for fun I shot a qual course and was able to max it. That included 25 yd shooting. Mine has been 100% reliable.
Old School 611 Posted June 11, 2015 Nice find!! Throw that holster away. It will beat up the pistol something royal.
Rob0115 1,105 Posted June 11, 2015 I've had one of these for more than 25 years. Love it. I used to 25 +p but I don't know if they make that anymore.
Blacksmythe 71 Posted June 11, 2015 Thats is a pretty sweet. Good luck getting it back here. Shame AZ treats guns so well.
magnawing 5 Posted June 11, 2015 Did he give it to you when you still lived with him? If he did, it's still yours. Just sayin' This signature is AWESOME!!!
Junior 14 Posted June 12, 2015 Nice find!!Throw that holster away. It will beat up the pistol something royal. It fits really snug. Will leather holsters typically rub off a blued finish? Been calling around all day trying to find .25 ACP. Nothing in stock. Looks like I won't be able to shoot it while I'm over here. Did he give it to you when you still lived with him? If he did, it's still yours. Just sayin' This signature is AWESOME!!!Good point!
Old School 611 Posted June 12, 2015 It fits really snug. Will leather holsters typically rub off a blued finish? The "unlined" Bianchi thumb breaks I've had wear the finish. Look where the snaps hit the slide and if it's tight the sharp edges of the pistol get worn, Just saying it's so F@cking pretty you don't want to mar it. GRIZ 3,369 Posted June 12, 2015 Old school is right on regarding the thumb breaks. I haven't carried mine every day but when I do its in first a leather and now a neoprene pocket holster. Bluing is still 99%.
PD2K 115 Posted June 20, 2015 Hey nice...hopefully your dad will give it to you as an early Xmas gift As others have stated above, pistol has to be shipped to an FFL. I think Bud's offer some sort of gun shipping service: http://www.shipmygun.com
