AR Upper and Lower for $140

Recommended Posts

These are just parts! No lower receiver (which is considered the rifle) so good to go! You can legally purchase all of the uppers and all the lower parts kits you want with no restrictions!

Forgetaboutit, Aim don't ship to NJ.

Is this a new policy or is it only for items that require a transfer? I bought an upper and BCG from them last fall and they had no problem shipping to me at the time.

Edit: I'm not currently looking to start another build and I've already spent my firearms budget for the next couple months, but this seems to be a great price (if we in NJ can get it) and I've been thinking about another build this fall/winter. I was able to add this to my cart (signed in with my NJ address) and choose my (NJ) FFL. I haven't entered my CC, so they could still reject my order or cancel it after it's completed but I'm curious to see if it would go through.

i was commenting on that deal which included a lower that Aim will not sell to NJ. It even says so in the description!

LOL, I get that, and I didn't mean to sound argumentative. I just know first hand that they will sell non-serialized parts in NJ and that they do have NJ FFL's on their list. It makes little sense that they won't sell a lower to a NJ resident.

I'm going to email and ask about their policy. Like I said, their system didn't red flag my NJ address, maybe the "no sales" is an error. If not, I want to hear their explanation.

I already did.  Went back and forth.

This was the result:

"I was given your email concerning our policy of not shipping AR-15 lower receivers to New Jersey.  I can tell you that our policy was enacted due to legal advice given to us by attorneys.  Due to the language of the NJ assault weapons "ban list" we have been told that shipping lowers into your state could open us up for possible legal action down the down.  The "ban list" contains both a Bushmaster and a Colt style AR-15.  Then language of the law then goes on to include the term "substantially identical" with respect to the assault weapons listed specifically.  As we all realize, the lower receivers we sell are actually considered the firearm since they are the main component and the part containing the serial number.  Not to mention the fact that they are then built into actual AR-15 style rifles or pistols.  Thereby it is a reasonable conclusion that AR-15 receivers (which are considered a firearm legally) can be considered "substantially identical" to items listed as banned by the NJ law.  We have submitted inquiries to both the State Police as well as the Attorney General in your state trying to clarify.  Both offices have responded to us but would not give us the green light to ship these receivers to your state.  I can only imagine that the vagueness and ambiguity is maintained just in case legal action arises in the future.  Therefore we have chosen simply not to take the risk.

Thank you for your time."
