never been to one. a friend told me about this. i was/am considering going. one problem i may have though, is that on his page, it says no serpa holsters unless issued. i guess for duty. i carry in a serpa, but i'm not a cop. not sure why no serpa....but all i have for any of my pistols is my serpas.

Serpas have the issue if when you go to draw Your trigger finger is unlocking the pistol it can contact the trigger on your pistol. And a shot in the leg can cause mortal damage. Are you gonna go? Stop talking and start doing. Not trying to be mean. But. You gotta take a day off work and do something for yourself. Do this and youll be ready and feel confident in doing idpa and uspsa matches. I double dare you.

I have trained with him a few times. Larry is a shooting icon for good reason. You will learn some good stuff and will get your balls busted at the same time... all for one low price. LOL . Go in with a thick skin and no attitude to get the most of the class. Be there to learn and make sure you take some notes b/c once you leave most of what you learned will be forgotten. Make sure you incorporate what he teaches you in your shooting disciplines and training sessions in the future.

These things may sound fundamental but alot of people expect to become better shooters b/c they trained with "insert famous trainer". It doesnt work like that! A good trainer will teach you a few things and maybe point out a couple of your weaknesses. Its up to you to follow up at home in the upcoming weeks, months , years to get benefit from that. For instance, I had an issue with my draw from a holster and a good trainer taught me how to fix it. I had to practice that draw 3-5x week for about 3 months before it became "natural" to me. Today, its built into my draw but it took time to break me out of old habits.
