Saiga Conversion Question - FCG Retainer Plate Fit

A quick question related to the Saiga conversion that I'm starting this weekend...

 

I've seen some online posts stating that guys have had trouble getting the Tapco FCG retaining plate to fit properly inside a Saiga 7.62x39 receiver (it eventually fits but with some minor dremel work). Most of these guys have said to just order a Krebs Custom plate and avoid the headache and looking at the kits on the Carolina Shooters Supply site, it seems that most of their kits come with a retainer that looks like a Krebs.

 

Have any of you guys run into issues with getting the Tapco plate to fit? I'm okay with doing a little grinding here and there to get the plate to fit, I just want to avoid getting into a wrestling match with the gun in order to get it to go in properly.

Just did my Saiga with the CSS kit and had no issues.

there are two. as per one of the NJGF Mods this is one I used. I could see where the other one would be a problem but this one drops in effortlessly

I did mine with CSS kit and had no issue on 223 saiga.

I got my Tapco plate in last night with just a tiny bit of filing in order to get it to seat itself properly so I could reinstall the safety lever
