jm1827 284 Posted August 31, 2015 HI everyone, I finally got a muzzle loader, it is an entry level gun, a Traditions Timber Ridge 209. Shot it this weekend with open sights and it didn't do too bad for a first time out. By the end of the day I was able to group shots pretty consistently at 75 yards. I definitely want to get a scope for it, any recommendations? I don't anticipate hunting much beyond 100 yards, but would try to punch paper out to 150+. Thanks! Old School 611 Posted August 31, 2015 Traditionally a 1-4 power scope is the choice. Any time you are moving set on 1 power and use the higher magnifications as you must. An illuminated reticle is a plus

Old School 611 Posted August 31, 2015 Thanks Old School, much appreciated. Are there any brands/models that you recommend? You can spend $125 to sky's the limit. I wouldn't spend a lot of money.
