Smokin .50 1,907 Posted October 5, 2015 are there a lot of thefts at outdoor ranges? I too have never heard of one. Of course having 25-50-100 nice, POLITE people all walking around with UNLOADED holstered sidearms and loaded mags and speed-loaders on their belt rigs MAY have something to do with it, lol! To tell ya the truth, most of the time (at the outdoor range) I leave the keys in the ignition and the widows rolled down when it's hot. Makes it easier that way if a fellow shooter has to move my car to get out in case of a problem at home (like a dead fridge or a wife's car that won't start). The BONUS is my car doesn't radiate a 150* temp for the AC to cool-off....... "AN ARMED SOCIETY IS A POLITE SOCIETY" sure comes to mind, lol! Now if I park at a commercial range that rents guns to non gun owners, everything gets LOCKED because you're dealing with THE PUBLIC by parking in a lot directly next to major roads and highways (it only makes SENSE to to this)! fatty 241 Posted October 5, 2015 lol. I can imagine that being the case, but you never know.. Lots of grimey people out there makes me feel better since I'm going to probably join an outdoor range next year. getting tired of shooting at 50 yards at GFH!
