Classic Firearms has Finnish M39 rifles in stock for $339.00 each.

Also in stock are Bulgarian Makarov pistols for $299.00 each (see above link, check the site).

The M39 Finnish Mosins are great rifles and so are the little Bulgarian Makarov pistols, they also have the P64 Polish police surplus pistols in stock (19x18 Mak) clone of Walther PPK

I am not trying to dissuade anyone from purchasing from Classic but this is more of a "buyer beware". The last batch of Finn m39's weren't as great as Classic talked them up to be. There were some nice ones but lots of ones that were wall hangers if anything. The hand select option Classic offered was a rip off IMO, many people who paid extra for hand select did not receive nicer rifles. Just saying.

Usually calling Classic will result in exchanging the rifle, store credit or a refund.

I know of people who purchased from Classic (think: surplus Beretta pistols they recently offered) and ended up with turds but after complaining Classic made it right.

The Bulgarian Maks are a steal, local shops I've called are asking 350-380 for them.

I have nothing but good reports on Classic. Several Mosins from them, a CZ82 which was a bit beat cosetically but has never had a malfunction of any kind. The best was my Tokarev which was supposedly a hand pick but to my inexperienced eye had never been fired. Perfect gun for a few hundred bucks.

Remember the mosin carbines? I did the "hand pick" and ended up with one hell of a rare one. I think it was due to serial/year of production that made it one of the most desirable ones, didn't like the recoil so I sold it for probably double what I paid and got a Mauser...

I also bought a Finnish mosin from AIM or J&G one of those distributors when I first got my FPID. It had a nice hair trigger and unusual wood pattern/stock...to my surprise the receiver was dated pre-1898 (I think the tang was stamped "97" or "96" can't remember off hand). That was a steal.

A lot of the Finnish mosins I've personally seen and handled have been built on pre-1898 receivers, a google search will confirm that a lot of those have pre-1898 receivers making them desirable as they are not federally regulated.

I have a 91/30, no two of them, a carbine, and a laminate stock, all from Classic. Plus one with sticky-bolt syndrome from a vendor who will go unnamed. Plus also from Classic the two handguns I mentioned. They're a great outfit. Would love to purchase funky SKS and Mosin rifles from them but due to various issues I am in backlog mode.

Wish they would sell HF Ham gear.

Wish they sold that, too. Talk about one-stop shopping!
