I might be interested in purchasing a standard DA/SA SIg P226 in 9mm. Anyone seen any in North Jersey shops lately? I need to get my hands on one and check it out. Looking for new, not used.

 

I am not interested in DAK trigger models, elites, MK, tacops, stainless, etc. Just the regular (nitron?) old P226.

I bought mine from Steve (remixer) on this forum. Check with him. He should be able to fix you up.

I am quite fond of my German P226 with the steel slide. I had the internals smoothed over and 3m treated many years back by a specialist in Arizona. I do not know if you can still fine these steel slide versions nib.

Sounds not bad. Everything the Extreme has minus the G10 grips.

I would suggest handling the standard 2pc grips as well to see what fits better to your hand.  

 

GunForHire range has 226's for rent if you're looking to try it out, but not sure they have the SRT installed or not

Do the E2 grips make the grip thinner? Or is the 2 piece grips thinner?

The E2 grips are smaller in diameter - more of a front to back reduction as far as I remember

 

E2 < 2pc polymer < G10/Rosewood grip (on the extreme or elite models)

I got my low round west german p226 at cheyenne mountain outfitters. They had alotta sigs p226 n p220

Here is the label on the P226 that I found. I can't seem to find this model listed/sold anywhere except for LE supply stores. And where they are listed, they all seem to be sold out.

Thats just e2, night sights with short reset trigger.. U can change grips easily n ton of videos online for srt install.. Just find p226 for a good price.. There is ton of them on gunbroker

I can purchase the one above for $875. Which seems like a good deal considering it comes with 3 mags, SRT, and night sights already installed. Most P226's seem to come with only 1 or 2 mags tops. I do like the E2 grips. And I don't want used.

I would jump on that price.  As of now I don't think you can find it any lower with siglite and SRT.
